Eric Henshall is a full-time painter living and working in North Melbourne. Painting is at the centre of Henshall’s passion for art, feeling irresistibly compelled to paint the world in which he lives. Love, beauty and emotion are at the core of Henshall work.
Inspired by his surroundings, Henshall attempts to extract the essence of what he sees from the distorting uncertainties and ambiguities, “ I simplify my world in my paintings, because it’s actually so complicated that sometimes the beauty needs to be extracted to be remembered”.
